Washington Alternate Assessment System

In 2008, Measured Progress received the contract for the Washington Alternate Assessment System (WAAS-Portfolio). The program assesses 6,000 students each year in reading, mathematics, writing, and science. Students are tested in grades 3 through 8 and 10 through 12. The portfolio-style assessment is based on student work samples and data sheets summarizing student performance for a set of targeted skills.
