The Office of Inclusive Educational Assessment sponsors and conducts research on the technical characteristics and impact of all forms of K–12 student assessment, as well as on improving assessment systems for the purposes of accountability and increased understanding of student learning.

The Center for the Assessment of Student Progress is dedicated to both theoretical and applied psychometric research.
