Collaborative Examination of Student Work

This program focuses on maximizing the information obtained from a wide range of student work. 

We help educators understand the relationships among content standards, performance standards, instruction, and the use of student work as a reflection of learning. You gain important insights into how students learn, student strengths and areas where they need improvement, and the effectiveness of instruction. 

Examining student work, uncovering evidence of student learning, and reflecting on the effectiveness of instructional programs take the guesswork out of improving instruction. Throughout the training, you learn to 
  • evaluate student work,
  • engage in professional dialogue using the guiding principles of protocols,
  • reach consensus on interpretation of the standards and expected performance levels, and
  • identify curricular and instructional implications revealed through student work.
