COMMON CORE Testlets Focus Instruction

Measured Progress COMMON CORE™ Testlets support formative assessment practices and provide a snapshot of how well students understand concepts in targeted content areas. Pinpoint the areas that challenge your students with these short, pre-configured tests that focus on a specific cluster (English language arts) or domain (mathematics). Information from Testlets can guide future individual or classroom instruction.

What comes with a Testlet package?

	Blueprint Identifies the Testlet design, including item types, depth of knowledge, and anchor and target standards. Testlets are available in grades 3-8 and high school and assess English language arts and mathematics standards.
	Test Form Includes 7 items and can be administered in just 20-30 minutes. Testlets were developed from Item Bank items and include multiple-choice, short-answer, and constructed-response items.
	Scoring Guide Helps educators gain a deeper understanding of student responses and score student work consistently by providing distractor rationales for all multiple-choice items and sample responses for all constructed-response items.
	Formative Tools Engage students in their own learning as they transition to the Common Core.
