Data Administration System
The DAS, housed at and maintained by Measured Progress, is used by principals, school administrators, test schedulers, and other authorized users to create, manage, and access online testing data. The DAS also handles test scheduling information, distribution of testing information, and the final storage of test data.
With a clear, intuitive interface, the DAS is accessible from any computer with an Internet connection and a browser. Authorized users can easily navigate the interface to gain access to class, school, district, and state data, as well as system components. Firefly creates standard interfaces for recurring activities. For example, the tools used to add students to a class resemble those used to add a class to a school.
After the completion of a test session, the DAS also creates the reports and displays them in HTML, PDF, or Excel format. Filters allow further data analysis. The access to certain reports can be assigned to specific roles (below), allowing the protection of sensitive data.
The following table outlines the default role definitions in the system, which can be modified and expanded.
