Utah

Measured Progress currently works with the Utah State Office of Education on two testing programs and a data analysis contract.

Measured Progress is the contractor for the Utah Science Core Criterion-Referenced Test Development Project. Assessing approximately 36,000 students per year in grades 4 through 6, the tests assess general science curriculum. In higher grades, the assessment is tailored to courses in 7th and 8th grade integrated science, earth systems science, biology, chemistry, and physics. Measured Progress is responsible for delivering print-ready and printed test materials to Utah for both operational and pilot test administrations.

The Utah Basic Skills Competency Test is a graduation requirement for all students and includes subtests in reading, writing, and mathematics. The test is given to approximately 40,000 tenth-grade students each February. Retest opportunities for each subtest are provided twice annually for students in grades 11 and 12.
