New HampshireAdvanced Systems (now Measured Progress) has been the contractor for its home state's assessment programs, the New Hampshire Education Improvement Assessment Program (NHEIAP) and the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP), from 1992 to the present. In school year 2005-2006, New Hampshire began to transition statewide assessments from the spring to the fall by administering the New England Common Assessment Program (NECAP) to students in grades 3 through 8. High schools joined the elementary and middle schools with a fall assessment in October 2007. The NECAP tests skills in reading, mathematics, and writing. Additionally, grades 4, 8, and 11 take a science assessment in the month of May each year. Measured Progress also works with the New Hampshire Department of Education to provide Adequate Yearly Progress reports, combined results of the NH Alternate Assessment and NECAP assessments, and the School District Profile Web site. Follow-the-Child Growth Reports are produced by Measured Progress each spring. For more information, visit the New Hampshire Department of Education Web site. |
