Senior Staff
Stuart Kahl co-founded Measured Progress as Advanced Systems in Measurement and Evaluation, Inc. in 1983, serving as vice president during the company’s first fourteen years. A former elementary and secondary teacher, Dr. Kahl earned degrees from Johns Hopkins University and from the University of Colorado. He worked for the Education Commission of the States, for the University of Colorado, and for RMC Research Corporation where he helped generate statewide assessment business and directed several state contracts. A frequent speaker at meetings of state and national professional groups, he also provides technical consulting to various education agencies. In recent years, he has been recognized for his work in the areas of standard setting for non-multiple-choice instruments and the alignment of curriculum and assessment. Dr. Kahl regularly publishes research papers and commentaries introducing and analyzing current issues and trends in education.
Richard Rizzo has been with Measured Progress since January of 1998 as a senior member of the management team. Prior to joining Measured Progress, Mr. Rizzo founded the Andover Capital Group, Inc., a private capital and management consulting firm, and served as president and CEO of Signal Capital Corporation (SCC), a $2 billion financial services organization. Mr. Rizzo holds a degree in mathematics from Boston University. He has served as chairman of the Exeter Hospital Board of Directors, was a director of First Capital Corporation, and is currently a director for Measured Progress and Northmark Bank.
Richard Dobbs is responsible for the management of all client contracts and services and for the marketing focus of Measured Progress. Before joining Measured Progress in 2004, he served in various positions such as vice president of sales and marketing, an educational consultant to school districts in thirteen states, and a classroom teacher in traditional and open-concept schools. Mr. Dobbs holds degrees in education administration and elementary education. His awards include the McGraw-Hill Excellence in Management Award, Consultant of the Year, and the Gold Medal Club for consecutive years of goal attainment. He has also been active in ASCD, NCME, ATP, CGCS, NSBA, and AERA. |
