Georgia

Measured Progress worked with the Georgia Department of Education to develop the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) for operational testing in 2001 and 2002. Approximately 1,000,000 students participated in the CRCT each year. The contract with Georgia was the result of a legislative mandate for the CRCT in the following grades and content areas:

Reading, English/Language Arts, Mathematics

Grades 1–8

Science and Social Studies

Grades 3–8

Additionally, as part of its contract with Georgia, Measured Progress provided a Web-based item banking system (Georgia CRCT Online) to:

  • provide a large item bank linked to the state's Quality Core Curriculum (QCC),
  • provide Products to aid teachers,
  • provide predictive, diagnostic reporting on student learning to allow early identification and intervention, and
  • track student performance and learning over time and within a Web-enabled environment accessible in schools, in homes, in libraries.

Measured Progress developed Georgia CRCT Online to provide three levels of access:

Level 1

Pre-constructed tests designed for students to use for self-assessment, evaluation, remediation, and enrichment

Level 2

Designed for teachers and administrators to create tests to use as diagnostic Products to assess student progress towards mastery of the QCC

Level 3

The most secure level of the system composed of calibrated items within forms equated from year to year

CRCT Online Levels 1 and 2

Measured Progress wants to thank all of the students, educators, and parents in Georgia and the Georgia Department of Education for giving us the opportunity to provide you with the CRCT Online. As of May 31, 2003, our contract was completed. We wish you well in reaching you educational goals and hope we can serve you again in the future.
